Enhance Your Medical Education

Medical Electives

Join us for a unique educational and personal opportunity to gain hands-on experience in African healthcare. Our medical electives provide a wide range of specialties to choose from, and our partnerships with top healthcare institutions ensure a valuable experience for our students. These range from specialist orthopaedic surgery in Abuja, Nigeria, to learning about the wide range of determinants of health for women from marginalised backgrounds in The Gambia; from emergency medicine to health promotion, sexual & reproductive health and even palliative care.

Healthcare Innovation through funding research

Through our profit donation model, grants are donated to tomorrow's healthcare researchers in Africa. Healthcare development has to date been thwarted by a stark paucity of locally appropriate and locally driven relevant data (African Conference on Emergency Medicine, 2022). Electives for Evidence is an organisation dedicated to empowering African healthcare professionals and furthering healthcare data in Africa by the local grants we offer.

At E4E, we are passionate about providing learners with the opportunity to gain real-life experience and make lifelong personal connections. Our team has a wealth of knowledge and experience to help you find the perfect medical elective to fit your individual interests.

We are committed to providing a personal touch to each of our students, so you can feel assured that you will be getting a tailored and unique experience. Each student also meets their named and approved local supervisor before travel.

Pre-Travel Training Day

For the more immersive pre-travel experience, we also offer workshops on local healthcare challenges, relevant to local burden of disease as well as expected future challenges.

At Electives for Evidence, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality and locally appropriate healthcare.
